The Anne Frank House have started displaying the original diary of Anne Frank again in the museum in Amsterdam. To protect the diary from dust and moist it is shown in a glass cabinet. Level Acoustics & Vibration was commissioned by the Anne Frank House to investigate the sensitivity of the glass showcase to vibrations, since vibrations can cause rapid degradation of the diary. Vibrations are caused by visitors walking on the floor that the cabinet is positioned on and by touching the cabinet directly. The diary in the cabinet had separate restrictions in the extent to which it should be able to withstand vibrations than the cabinet itself.
