“So, air in—but no sound.”
The episode of Ondertussen aan de Hofvijver, broadcast on Saturday 7 October, featured our work to improve the sound insulation of the Dutch House of Representatives building. An old fireplace is being repurposed as a ventilation duct, but how do you prevent it from becoming a sound leak?
Susanne Bron-van der Jagt and Theo Raijmakers carry out acoustic measurements to assess the effectiveness of the measures taken.
