Public buildings like restaurant, sports venues and other gathering halls ask for specific attention with respect to speech communication. These buildings usually contain large spaces that house big groups of people. Public address systems need to be designed carefully for good speech intelligibility. Reverberation and noise must be controlled to acceptable levels.
