Master Class: Open plan/Activity based office design

At Monday 23rd to Wednesday 25th of November 2015, the Master Class: Open plan/Activity based office design will be held at the Laboratorium voor Akoestiek. In this Master Class we will focus on the acoustic design of open plan and activity based offices, while touching other topics like environmental psychology. For three days, you will gain theoretical and practical knowledge in the presence of Adj. prof. Valtteri Hongisto from the indoor environment group at the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health. He is specialised in acoustics, ventilation and lighting design in office environments. Among other things, he was closely involved in the development of the recently introduced standard on measurements of room acoustic properties in open plan offices ISO 3382-3. Read his most recent paper on experiments in open plan offices or visit his researchgate page for more info.

You can download the leaflet or registration form.

The Master Class is complemented with a guest presentation about Activity Based Working by Rolien Lucassen (Funckey and Veldhoen+Company). She is a specialist in developing concepts for the office environment.

Supplementary, leading architect Joost Ector (Ector Hoogstad Architecten) will share his vision on how to deal with large open working spaces during a tour through the recently build open learning environment and library MetaForum.
